The squid chick? Where is she, by the way?
There's also another thing XSEED can do; announce the release date before the HK is released. We've known a few people have ordered the HK version, but they can cancel it if there's a release date.
I assume that with physical distribution, it takes time. Especially with a country as large as the USA. HK is like, a big ole' city.

Well manufacturing takes time and depending on how many games Xseed wants to manufacture it could take longer. Niche companies might not have the industrial capacity to manufacture a lot so they could only ship a couple thousand and once the money comes in from the first wave it could manufacture more but I don't know how Xseed works.

Ungrateful for what; that we're getting an inferior product, at a later date? I wouldn't be caught dead being "grateful" for that. I'm not going to hand them money simply because they're doing what they're doing, they're going to have to do it "right", just like any other business, for my money. If they can't, they need to move on out to make room for someone who will, that's how business works.
On Digital distribution; games are going to go DD only, that much is inevitable, it's just a matter of when. It has nothing to do with this.

My video game life depends on the niche publishers. The day XSEED, Atlus, NISA and Aksys among others stop localizing games is the day I quit modern gaming. Obviously I want XSEED to do well and obviously they make more money if I buy the version published by them. Every XSEED game that I buy new or digital helps them stay in business and sponsors future localizations. I'm sure they get paid for their work on the Asian version but not as much.
There is also the matter of wanting future localizations for the platform. I think the Vita is an awesome piece of hardware and I want XSEED to work with that platform. They won't do that unless it's profitable. I prefer portable gaming over PC, mobiles and consoles so I would hate to miss out on future games because XSEED focuses their efforts elsewhere.
I put my money where my heart is and for what I believe will benefit the future of gaming in America. It's actually important to me, more important than getting the DLC a month later than if I were to buy the Asian version.
