From my time with RO I can tell you on my US account the patch does indeed work, but the DLC does not (you can see it has been installed by the size in the information for RO, but you cannot see it inside the game). Of course, it all works when I use my Japanese account. So basically, you can play online with any region account, but you can only use the DLC if you are using an account from the region in which you purchased your game.
Maybe that's because this isn't a Ragnarok Online thread?
Been playing RO on and off since I was 12 (now 19) and the RO theme is the biggest factor of me wanting this game. 2nd would be you play as 1, customizable, 3rd-person character like MHunter.

I've played RO for about two years. That's one of the main reasons i'd like to get my hands on this title. I'm also a big fan of the Monster Hunter series... the lack of any sequels on PSP or Vita make me want this game even more.
Took the demo for a spin and i loved it. It's basicly a Monster Hunter game in the world of Ragnarok.

Eh, I've already accepted the fact that this would happen. It's to be expected when it's a game that resembles Monster Hunter on a new, RPG-starved system that has no actual MH.
And the sad truth is that this game doesn't really resemble Ragnarok Online in many ways at all. Though that upcoming patch may add the Sograt Desert...well, I'm going to buy this game anyway, simply because I'm a <i>huge</i> fan of RO, and I want to support it in pretty much any way possible.
I just hope that the translation won't make a bunch of goofs like Ragnarok DS did. If there's anyone important reading this, could we please not get any more "Frione" or "Stabber?" There's been an official translation of a lot of things for an entire decade now.
I am starting to doubt XSEED, they said they are aware of us, but I have a feeling they already have this years line of games they are localizing ready and just releasing them as they planned. I have a feeling we will be over looked, which sucks. Sorry guys but I am losing faith.
