is it a lot harder to catch than the Hyneria? I got a bunch of them but the Sturgon is hiding from me.. haha... What I mean is after you hook it, is it harder to get in than the Hyneria!!

Well, technically the Hyneria is harder to catch, but since it usually appears near the edges of the lake, you have that to your advantage. The White Sturgeon appears in the middle of the lake less frequently and is almost as hard to catch as the Hyneria, but because it's in the middle of the lake, it is harder and will break your line if you're not constantly using the stop and reel technique.
Over the weekend I caught my 2nd White Sturgeon 22.52 ft but it was only A-rank-- this is going to take time to S-rank. But I was able to get S-rank Hyneria so overall I am happy. 133 S-ranks so far-- Those other fish will be mine however it may take some time especailly for the ocean fish.
It only took me 5 white sturgeons for a S-rank. I don't think it should take too long as most of the extra large fish can be S-ranked pretty quickly (the KoH took me 7 catches, the White Sturgeon, 5, the Xiphactinus, 8). The only one that took me a lot was the Hyneria which took 16 catches, and even that isn't that much compared to how long it takes to S-rank the more common fish.
True. There are generally more Hyneria so the probability of catching an S probably goes down so takes a bit longer. I am up to 180 S fish now and most of the ones still to catch are ocean trolling/ferry/cruiser fish. I still have Rolfo and Porcupine to S though. Having problems finding Porcupine at the moment.
Thanks that encourages me to keep trying on White Sturgeons I have 4 of them now so praying for my next one to get S-rank. I am slowly working on all land areas to get all the non-legends which I plan to save for last then focus on ocean fish until all fish are S-ranks. Good luck to all us fishing resort fans!
I feel lucky. My first Hyneria was rank S. It's been the most epic and satisfying catch so far. Though finally catching the legendary fish will likely eclipse that.
Lucky you! Hynerias take so long to reel in so I was actually beginning to get annoyed after catching only 10 of them and still not having a S-rank lol.
I don't like the White Sturgeon -- it is not being nice to me-- 38 so far without a S rank! Using largest rod/reel and rainbow-- Any suggestions for S rank? Anyone try a lure if so which one?
Sadly, you just have to have patience. Lots and lots of patience.
