I have been making progress on Fishing Resort. The first time I trolled I got the Xiphactinus. I remember using two white lures and maybe the first or third lure. The games is really great and relaxing. I finally even got the boat so I can now troll on my own without having to pay.

I put in the passwords. Hopefully this wifi mess will be resolved soon. But just a word of caution, you know how when you're fishing for P.A.G. or any other big fish in Mangrove Pool you also have them pesky Electric Eels to contend with? Yeah. Word of advise, be sure to S rank or get most of the fish you need when its spar se in the area at the moment before you download all of these.
It's too late for me now. The PAGs seem to take so long to notice my bait for some reason.
I entered all the passwords and caught the Chain Pike at Lodge Lakeside. The Shortnose Gar is supposed to be in the Dua Ribu Eyelet, but I haven't spotted it yet. The Alaska Pollock and Largehead Hairtail are supposed to be in the ocean to the east of Sembilan Island according to the Japanese website for this game (I can't tell it its Frigid or Temperate from the picture).
sdw, seeing that you entered the passwords, do you have connection to WFC?
I don't think you need access to WFC to enter the passwords. There should be an option on the top right corner of the computer screen to do so without connecting to the internet.
I'm referring to what Philia had mentioned in another forum. She said she entered the passwords and noticed she had an error noticed that said it couldn't connect to WFC. But then I noticed I had the same WFC error message without entering the passwords.

If you guys want, you can make a thread about it. It IS worrying though. Just for the record here. My first wii (launch) broke down recently, well the drive was and its just not reading any discs anymore lol. It was softmodded already to play PAL xenoblade. Anyway we bought a new black wii the same day and he softmodded it too to transfer my 400 hour save file over lol. Anyway ever since I played FR though, my WFC would never work thanks to a 60000 error code and this was maybe after a couple of weeks of first playing. And of course after transferring it, as soon as I went to the laptop to check tournaments and the like, I'd be able to access it the first time and then it'd cut me off the second time sometime later (the next reallife day or something) due to the same error code.
And when Napoleon Fish was released on wifi I was worried that I'd not get it because of the WFC thing. But no, I got it just later on or something. Strangely when I made a new profile on the black wii, I had no issues accessing the WFC so I thought perhaps its just my old save that was bugged (due to the transfer or whatever).
And of course... today, after installing all of those fish, I got locked out thanks to a 90040 error code.

Just now on my temporary newer save can access WFC just fine. It must be a burp on their end then.The whole passwords released on the same time was purely coincidental. Deliciously evil coincidental lmao.
However my old save is still locked thanks to 60000 code lol. Either way though, I was still able to access a wifi fish on it, I just can't participate in online rankings.
OH! Just for the record, when I put in the passwords, and then switched profiles (new save to the old one), the game automatically unlocked those too as if I didn't even need to input the passwords again.

ANDDDDD I found out what lure it was thanks to H.Protagonist response.
A japanese website that sdw4527 linked in gameFAQs had a lure listed to used for Pterapsis that I thought perhaps would work really well in eliminating other BS fish lol. However it was in japanese of course and babelfish/google translate would only get to turn out "supoiddo P/B" which was annoying. So I pmed our favorite bacon master here on GAF and she got back to me that its a Pink/Blue Spotted lure. This is listed in the spinner category.
