LOL yeah, I had to have that hiatus. I was getting mad at this game lmao. I managed to finish

    Kirby's RoD
    LEGO HP 5-7
    Super Mario 3D Land
    PLTLS: London Life
    Professor Layton: Specter
    Rayman Origins

before this random guy made me mad again for the darn details lmao. Not his fault though.

But yeah, looks like I'm back in the game now that Bothriolepis restored my happiness lmao. I still have a bunch of ocean fish to ferry/trolling though. The only non legendary fish on the main island left is that awful Marbled Rockfish lol.

I still have White Sturgeon to get. Congrats on your S ranking that one.

Thanks! I think I might return to Skyward Sword and finish it up. I'm in the Ancient Cistern and never bothered to go back and finish the game so yeah...

Don't blame you for getting back to Skyward (I need to fire it up myself too). Its helpful to play Fishing Resort in short bursts once you hit the upper tier S ranking fish.

Okay... you should feel 2 type of vibrations with the lure. One is a soft vibration, it could only meant that you're rubbing on something (weed or fish) close by when you're moving the lure. Don't ignore this, use this to your advantage, you may be rubbing a fish. So keep twitching in that spot than further away from it. You know you got a bite when you got a much bigger dull vibration, pull your rod up to catch it successfully. And don't twitch ALL the time, just let one twitch to let the lure settle. Once it settled, give it a few seconds and then twitch again. I find it hard to "capture" the fish when I'm twitching the lure because jerking the rod would also define as twitching and the game would confuse the two. :\ So yeah, be consistent with your twitching and your jerking the rod to catch the fish.

As I said in my guide, I catch this guy 90ft out in the grassy marshes downstream. I wasn't expecting my FOURTH catch to be the S rank. I was so dreading these lol kind of catches. But man doesn't it feel awesome to get them then.
Thanks for the suggestion-- I will try using the lure fishing-- I have been fishing 90 feet out by the grassy marsh but keep getting catfish, fat minnow etc.

Ahhhhh! I can't catch the different species of Carp at Tidur River, all I catch are Japanese Huchen.
BTW is it easier to catch the carp if you don't start the quest that unlocks the Japanese Huchen?

Provide these details: are you just not seeing carp anywhere, or are the huchens arriving at the bait before the carp? If the former, make sure you've done the quest where you have to catch a grass carp. Completing it unlocks the other carp species. The grass & black carp like to hang out on either grassy side leading up to (but not in) the waterfall. Silver & bighead carp can be found near the grassy sides (sometimes near the center) of the downstream north river.

Not sure if the huchen sidequest unlocks them or not; they may already be there, but only one caught after the quest is initiated might count towards its completion. I know I never had any trouble with huchens swarming around carp. Maybe one or two every so often, but never a problem.

I found the silver and bighead to be right at the end of the North Stream down side (right of the dock). If you go into the end area you will see a little area of water goes off to the left. You will find them in there and also the greenery in front of the rock. Fish from about 20 feet away and you can see them clearly. I didn't catch many Hutchen there either.

New to both the game and the forum but I just have to thank you guys for already having the answers to where a lot of these fish can be found. I haven't earned the Champion's Award yet since I'm still working on the uncommon/rare fish that aren't considered Legendary. Current goal is that elusive King Salmon for its related outfit award.

Good luck Gunarm Dyne! I'll check this forum once in a while so don't be afraid to ask a question because of how slow this board is.

I'm also here rarely. It's sad to see the board slowly dwindle away. Wonder what Philia & PBGamer are up to.
