Secret to fishing from the ferry?

In the different ferry trips I have taken I have only caught big boatloads of suck. I keep trying different permutations of rods, reels, and bait and nothing seems to work. Is there something I am missing?

Anyone have a setup they recommend? Thanks!

The key is to use medium size rod n reel and you can float fish. Also you can fish the .66 to 6.58 minnows that rattle too. Reel them in slow, let them sink and settle a sec or two, then repeat. In my experience, they pick it up as it falls not during the retrieve.

Actually any size works. Just use Wide Range bait and cast 10 feet or less from the boat. This also helps reel them in quicker too!

I don't know if it's just me, but I find that Rainbow bait works better for rarer fish.

When I very first went Ferry Fishing, I just fished normally with quick hitter, and I got next to nothing. I can confirm that using Wide Range and casting close to the boat will get you a lot more fish. :3 I have not tried rainbow yet though, I set the game down before I ever really got into using it. Still, I can back up with Thunder said.

Man, I have to resist not getting wrapped up in this game again... it was just so good. X3
