For those that own a Vita, have they updated the firmware yet to include standard button/joystick/d-pad input when navigating the UI? Last I heard you had to do everything with the touch screen.

What drives me mad is that the Vita loads everytime I have a physical game in it.
Why not just leave it on? The Vita and PSP deserve quite a bit of credit for their sleep modes. The battery on either lasts at least 5 days when in sleep mode. Granted, with the Vita you still have to touch the screen to "peel" to unlock.

I dont really know about the general opinion of Vita's UI, but I got used to it quite fast. And I must emphasize that I HATE touchscreen mobiles, pads, etc. The only complaint that I have against the UI right now is that you can't toggle certain Applications such as Welcome Park or Near. All in all, I dont hate the UI that they took for the Vita - it just really depends on the character. Maybe, Sony will enable in sometime some Designs that maybe could look like the XMB of the PS3 or PSP. Either or, I am fine with it, for now at least.
Edit: More hot news - Starlight Inception reached its 150k Goal. Dont know what it is ? Look here:

Basically, a space game made by one former 3D-Artist from Lucas Arts including Soundtrack from David Arkenstone, componist from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. Quite sold me there.
Edit 2: More info on Soul Sacrifice as well:
- Marvelous Entertainment
- Keiji Inafune
- Winter Release
- 1-4 Co-Op
Also, it seems to have some information story and gameplay-wise.
Taken from Siliconera:
How it could look like then:In Soul Sacrifice you play as a wizard who is a slave to a cruel magician. You can cast spells, but need to sacrifice items. Players can give up items they collected for basic spells, but powerful magic requires a payment… in flesh. Artwork shows the wizard with his hand in his mouth and pulling chunks of flesh and bone (it might be his spine?) out to cast Excalibur. Other spells require like Gorgon turns your eyes into laser shooting weapons and Gungnir covers your body with bones. Players will fight monsters who, Famitsu says, were people until overuse of magic transformed them.
Just kidding, more like this. Caution: Contains some backbone.

Vita bomba? ~1.35m units last quarter WW, if anybody cares how it sold.
Hopefully once this thing actually gets some more games it will pick up the pace, because that's honestly not terrible for a system that's hardly gotten anything since launch.
Continues waiting for Gravity Rush, Ys IV, and Wipeout DLC.
And that's one meaty looking spine.
That is terrible. It's way worse than PSP or 3DS in the same timeframe.
I don't know, I guess my expectations were just abysmally low. I mean, for a questionably $250 handheld with no real system-selling games for the masses, I expected it to be around a million WW.
And Sony isn't really helping themselves, we're 3 months in and haven't had a notable release since launch outside Japan. Vita's E3 presence better be legendary.
I'm sure they'll have some good stuff to show at E3! It's almost like... they waited to see how the system will do, and THEN decided to work on software. Not sure why they waited. Then again, I hope some stuff is in development right now that they haven't shown to the public yet.
