Yeesh, what is with the time it takes to just freaking delete something?! I could type and submit this message 10 times, and its still deleting a single demo...

It doesn't really seem to have much going for it to me, personally. Everyone I know who has one just plays PSP games on it, and I'm already pretty happy with my PSP. Been enjoying my 3DS a lot more, looking forward to picking up any localizations from Japan on that system instead. I'll probably get a Vita in a year or two once its library picks up and it gets some must-buy games.
It's actually really hard for me to play my 3DS now. The screen is so low res, and everything is just so slow... It's okay though, since I've completed every 3DS game I own and don't have an interest in any until Dream Drop Distance comes out.
I bought a 3DS in June, and didn't get a game until September. I just played my DS backlog. So yeah, my Vita is ahead in that regard, lol.
I think we just need to wait for the holidays for Vita to do nice (took that long for 3DS, anyways). With Gravity Rush out in the summer, RO and P4:G out in summer/fall, and then the new Call of Duty out in fall as well, RPG and shooter fans alike, should find something with it. Christmas will create more sales and who knows, maybe come Black Friday some bundles will be out for it.
I don't think the Vita is really going to grab audiences that the PSP or other portables didn't. Call of Duty probably won't move any more Vitas than it did DS systems. If the Vita captures the same audience the PSP had, only without the piracy (yeah, yeah, I know somebody is going to say that wasn't the problem) I'd imagine it should do pretty well.
For the COD Vita to capture the FPS crowd, Activision would have to invest a lot of making their COD game on the Vita as flawless as possible, with a lot of quirks and special things, but why would they do that when they can do half of it on the PS3 and 360 and sell a lot more?
I'm really tempted by the Amazon deal today (wifi-model with free 4gb card and free Mortal Kombat game), but there aren't any games I want to play on it yet. Somewhere in the October time are when the good games (for me) start coming out (P4:The Golden, Zero Escape, probably Ragnarok Odyssey), so I'd have nothing I want to play until then, but a free game and mem card is very tempting. :/
Then again, I might wait until a model you can hook up to your TV comes out since that's how I play most of my PSP games, lol.
The same deal is available at BestBuy, and I think there'll be as good as, or even better deals on the future if there aren't any compelling games for you yet. The best one for this first semester will be Gravity Rush, and that's about it.
