    Princess Maker 4 and 5?

PSP versions, of course, since I'm pretty certain PS2 would be out of the question, and Xseed doesn't do PC.

Anyway, I absolutely love Princess Maker 2. It's very unique, very replayable, and just damn good all-around. Unfortunately, it was the only game in the series ever translated into English (and it didn't even make it to stores!) I've been wanting to play more and more of this series, but I can't read any Japanese. I'd love it if the PSP games got localized. Either one's fine, though the double-pack would of course be best. I'm so desperate that I wouldn't even care if it were PSN-only, despite my hatred of DD!

And if that's not possible, even the DS version of 4's better than nothing...

I wonder what makes Princess Maker good. I have heard of the series but not sure what the gameplay is about. Is it about nursing a young girl to become a graceful princess or something? Taking her into various types of her life and being a good role model? If so I like those kinds of games but can you give me some info on the game I not Tom or anyone from Xseed but I wish to know a little more of the game.

I'd die for some Princess Maker games. Princess Maker 2 is one of my most played games off all time.

Raguna, they are life sims. There are all sorts of endings in PM2 she could become anything from a thug, Overload of Darkness, a writer, to the Grand Poobah. You decide what chores, classes, and other activities she does. Almost all of the actives have positive and negative effects. The girl can even develop a rival with another girl and sometimes the your daughter will do things independently...like have sex in exchange for money. Which you can say scold her for it or be like Awesome more money!

These sites are out of date by now but they should help give and idea on the games:
    KitKat's Princess Maker Corner
    Nuriko's Princess Maker Nexus
Princess Maker 2 Let's Play Archive

Actually, Right Stuf has the Princess Maker anime super cheap right now. It's called Petite Princess Yucie and is mostly based on PM2. The anime was done by Gainax and is surprisingly good.

With the popularity of raising sims in the US [The Sims, even the OLD Ubisoft "Babyz" game, before they started making all the minigame-laden stuff on DS] I feel that PM could really, really REALLY succeed. Even as a DD title, I'd love for this to make it over. :] I'd buy two~!

I played a bit of PM2 and it's pretty fun, so I'll definitely pick it up if it ever gets released here
