I'm gonna be completely backwards and say I don't mind how too much how long it takes (sooner is, of course, better) as long is it gets a digital release. That's assuming it stays on a portable.

If it releases on PC, I don't care at all one way or another. Just as long as I can play it.

And you will see it when hell freezes over. What was the last J-game to get a physical release? Final Fantasy XIV aside. Most game stores usually stock one of three/four PC titles... The Sims [& its expansions], Starcraft, Warcraft ...and soon Diablo III.
All that keeps me from saying "impossible" is that, maybe 1% chance, magic-dust that XSeed likes to wield to stir up surprises.

I don't really advocate this stuff, but there is a fansub of the Sora no Kiseki the Animation anime online and in English. Given a States release is pretty unlikely, just thought i'd let people know (I'd buy the damn thing... if I knew Japanese better).

The best thing about a PC release is that practically anybody with a PC would be able play it. The system requirements are hilariously low. If a proper emulator existed (x86, DX8) you could probably run the game on a smartphone. I mean, the game supports Windows 98 and recommends a Pentium III CPU.

Okay, maybe that's not the best thing about a PC release, but it's certainly a good thing.

Oh yes I appreciate it too because I don't play PC too often to care for upgrading. =P

Also if XSEED does fine with Steam they can release Falcom's backlog. Can you imagine buying Ys Origin or Xanadu Next on Steam? <3

Lets be clear. A physical psp release is the only way its going to make any substantial profit. AKA milk the collectors edition.

And if it releases in 2012 theres no reason to think this wont happen
