Why isn't XSEED doing Half-Minute Hero 2?

Why? Did the game performer poorly on the US, or is there a problem between XSEED and Marvelous? Maybe a problem involving licensing? I'm sure I've read somewhere that it didn't sell a lot, not enough for XSEED to secure the sequel, but I didn't find any specific topic discussing this either on this forum or on the "I Hate XSEED" section.

That seems awful, it seems it didn't sell nearly enough to cover even their own expenses on the first game. Oh well, I guess some games we'll never get it.

It's so depressing that both Retro Game Challenge and Half-Minute Hero, two of the most entertaining and unique games I've ever played, sold so dismally... I don't blame XSEED in the slightest for not releasing either sequel (why would they?), but it's a damn shame more gamers didn't give them the chance they absolutely deserved.

It's also depressing to see that from one ROM pirating site alone, RGC had been downloaded over 26,000 times before getting pulled. If I could track down and smack each and every one of those BACONBACONBACONBACONs, I would. I'm not even going to bother to look up the numbers for Half-Minute Hero, I'm sure it's just as bad if not worse...

I just hope this doesn't happen to Corpse Party. Without the sequel we would be missing out on some answers and some more Seiko, Kizami, and Ms Yui and some actual story behind Morishige and Mayu.

Completely agree. It's all kinds of crappy and honestly makes me terrified for "the future of gaming". A dark time where everything will be either a first person shooter or online multiplayer game...
