Nooooo, black text on white is definitely better for the majority of users. Don't know of any studies or anything, but it's supposed to cause more eyestrain and gives some people headaches. While getting my degree we were always told to avoid it, especially when you're dealing with large quantities of text.

The NISA forums look ok, but every other user has a HUGE signature pic or pics that crowd out the actual messages.

I feel this way about signatures in general, so they get disabled.

There was another skin but apparently it was somehow deleted/destroyed/transported to some other dimension. Somebody mentioned they were going to try to get it back, but I guess depending on the method of it's demise, that could be easier said than done.

Although it wasn't especially interesting either, just a red and gray theme.

(on that note, I'm curious how you manage to lose a forum skin!)

Yeah Tom mentioned they "misplaced" the template and Jess was going to work on changing it back I think. I didn't like the look of the new forums at first either, but now I'm pretty much fine with it. When it first happened it sure was a shock. I think my biggest issue is that it's so wide. Just not used to that. I can deal with the colors. But it's no biggy.

NISA's skin would probably be the best but everyone's towering sigs of gifs and 600px tall anime pictures really just ruins it by itself.

Tales is my home and the blue color feels always makes me feel welcome and safe. /bias

I never like it when people have towering sigs of too many gifs and pics and so on. One pic of something should be more than enough in most cases.

I actually like the new skin better than the old one. It's a lot easier on my eyes.
