Official Strategy Guide Problem

So I really wanted to go through the game and get all of the bromides and the reminiscer, and I know that the locations are different from SSSC. Unfortunately if you read the walkthrough, the point where it tells you to return to Ramus' shop and buy the bromides and reminiscer, it's already too late by that point! After searching online a bit I've heard a few people say that this is indeed the case. Anybody else notice this?

I used a walkthrough on FAQs to sort out the differences from SSSC so I never encountered this, but I know how frustrating it is though to miss something like that and having to restart if you're going for a perfect file. I've done a few playthroughs of SSSC where I've made stupid mistakes like not returning to Lann to get Jessica Bromide 2 from the boat guy, or missing the Xenobia bromide when at the frontier.

For the most part I find FAQs on sites like GameFAQs to be a lot more accurate than Prima or Bradygames guides.

I agree. GameFAQs has some awesome FAQ writers who post there and 9 times out of 10 they are more accurate and have extra info and strategies. I usually just pick up guides for the extra content some have and collection purposes myself. Then you have Piggyback and Double Jump who just make awesome guides. Sorry to hear you missed stuff because of a guide though. Make sure to always keep a ton of extra saves handy if possible in the future to avoid lost hours.

I actually didn't hunt them down in SSH, since there wasn't any new images. But the information is good to know if I feel like replying it thoroughly next time. : )

Didn't hunt them down??? I don't think I've played through Lunar without getting all the goodies. That's one of the best parts of the game.

I guess so, but I got them in SSSC and that was good enough for me. xD
I mean if there would've been like even one new bromide I would've been all over it but it was finals week too when I got my copy of SSH and I played it in a week and haven't touched it to reply since.

I play the psx ones every summer though.
