just bought a GC!
Ok, yeah, I admit it, I stole the title from Perrandy. I hope he doesn't sue me D:
Anyways, I've recently acquired a GameCube after many years...I've NEVER played gamecube. Nothing but about 2 minutes of Luigi's Mansion at a store when THAT game was new (and the GC itself, for that matter).
So...I just want recommendations, specifically RPGs. I know I will be getting this soon:
- Tales of Symphonia (finally I'll be able to corroborate the hype!)
- Baten Kaitos
- Fire Emblem
I need a total of ten games minimum, including those three. Though if you wanna recommend more, I'll gladly listen.

Pokemon. Smash Bros. Mario Kart. Metal Gear Solid. Mario Party. Those are the only titles I own and I'm satisfied with my GC.

well about tales of I suppose you already know the success of symphonia
about baten kaitos I will let the omment to the 1rst fan of this game : conurebleu
and finally about fire emblem well ... prepare to re-start and re-start and again re-start certains chapers several times because you will lost your favorite character because of one of yours tactical error , however the game is still good and long enough , the story is good enough to make you buy the 2nd one
for the recommendation I think I can recommand you :
mario kart ,
baten kaitos 2
zelda wind waker
and if you success in finding him zelda twilight princess !

Two (good) RPGs you're missing provided you get BK Origins after beating the first:
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Skies of Arcadia Legends
The GCN is pretty starved when it comes to that genre so that's all I can really recommend, otherwise...
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
Resident Evil 4
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Super Mario Sunshine
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
F-Zero GX
Viewtiful Joe (if you can't get the PS2 version that has Dante)
Luigi's Mansion

According to Metacritic and me, the best RPGs would be:
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance;
- Tales of Symphonia;
- Skies of Arcadia Legends;
- Paper Mario: The Thousand-Years Door;
- Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II;
- Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean;
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles;
- Baten Kaitos: Origins.

Oh yeah, almost forgot about Skies of Arcadia. I did play it on Dreamcast, and I loved it...definitely getting it for GC (and also because my Dreamcast and its games met a tragic end).
About Twilight Princess, I already finished the game for Wii...I don't think its worth buying for GC, or yes?
Well, thanks for the recommendations, with this, I'll have a good idea on what to get.

If you've played Twilight Princess on the Wii there's no reason to get it on Gamecube, unless yo want to play with a standard controller. One thing that's sort of neat is that the Wii versions world is completely flipped (ie left is right and right is left). Sense Link is left handed they figured that it was easier to reverse the entire game world on Wii for people that use their right hand instead of re-doing all the animations.
