I've only gotten a Platinum for three games so far (inFamous 1, Heavy Rain, and Final Fantasy XIII), but FFXIII was by far the most time consuming. I ended up defeating the Long Gui for my last trophy because I had trouble defeating it the legit way (I ended up knocking it down with a summon, debuff it, stagger it once, spam Death on it before it stands right up).

I think I also remember the time when I defeated the final boss in Oath of Felghana on Normal on my first try. To this day, I don't know how I managed to pull that one off.

probably getting to the final boss of mega man x with no upgrades whatsoever (aside from the mandatory boots and buster upgrades)

only didn't beat it simply because dying in 2~3 hits and then having to fight the two bosses that come before was too much of a pain and I forgot I could save state.

3. Playing Tales of the abyss only with Tear (but exception, obligatory fights with luke)

Controlling Tear, I've misswritten? XD All my other characters were alive and battling too

- finishing ys six and seven in nightmare mode ! this was a painful experience

- beating the cameo team in vesperia , challenging since kratos is faster than anyone else and strike you till death ,barbatos is strong enough to kill you in one strike and impede you to use your items while shizel and dahos spamm you with spell
if it wasn't repede ability to revive the whole team I had lost

- simply beat in persona 3 the " the answer " conurebleu know that in each battle and especially the first you have all chances to die !

- finish fire emblem radiant dawn in hard mode , the normal is already scary o_0

I only saw one shiny during the entire time I was working on the Pokedex, and that was a wild Deerling that I KOed by accident. I do however have a shiny Rayquaza recorded on my dex. I couldn't keep it since it was a friend's. Still awesome, though.
