just bought a gba!

yeah i just bought a game boy advance and i bought it because i wanna play tales of fantasia,the super robot taisen games and other rpgs.do you guys have played any of these games? if so whats your take on them and if not can you recommend me any other rpgs/startergy games to play? thanks!

I'm gonna be honest, the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia is pretty bad. It's definitely the worst version of ToP (get the PSX version if you can), and the English voice acting is just atrocious.

However, there are a lot of other goods RPGs for the GBA. There are ports of Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6 that are all good. Both of the Golden Sun games are great. Most of the Mega Man Battle Network games are good, too (I recommend 3 in particular). If you're in the mood for more actiony games, check out Sword of Mana and The Legend of Zelda: the Minish Cap. For strategy games, I think there are a couple of Fire Emblem games for the GBA, but I haven't played them. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is pretty fun, too, even if not as good as the original.

It's not like we really have any other choices if we want to play it in english, without resorting to using an emulator and playing the fan translated PSX version. Besides, I'm pretty certain you can turn down or turn off the voices.
