I guess, although that's a broad explanation. Perrandy might be able to fill you in. Or if you'd like, you can always google it.
Its basically a NEET. Not in Education, Employment or Training but actually still goes to school or has a job mostly its what we people call a "shut in". Its basically that but I think hikkikomori sounds better.

Anyway, have some fun reading. The term gets thrown around for people that are more asocial and prefer staying at home but that actual thing can get pretty severe.
