Buttons do nothing nor does going in and out of sleep mode. The music is still playing and stuff on screen still animating. What a bummer as I wanted a straight playthrough of this game on my 3DS to know exactly how long I played for. Now I have to boot out and back in and hope it lets me get to the final boss this time.
Exactly the same thing happened to me right before the final battle in Tartaros, i just turned off my 3DS for a while and the next time i played the game it was alright...

Sucks to be pulled out of the game world right at the end, still a great game though. 3DS as well huh? Unless we get some testimony in here from people playing on a DS and glitching out, we might now assume DS backwards compatibility isn't perfect after all. A really weird thing is that my Activity Log says my play time for Solatorobo is 4:30. ...What? And 3 weeks? I completed it in 3 days, about 20 hours of playtime... Which goes to proove just how little of a life I have.
And you can see your total playtime right before you continue.

The game usually glitches if you play for long periods of time before the endings. It happened to me once and I had a save before the cutscene on where beluga holds off the enemies for you to continue.
I may be blinded and misunderstood by society. But I see things that other people do not see. Knowledge is power but also creates insanity. Respect the decisions made by other people and they will respect yours. I am now called "therpgfan" on other websites now.
I'm thankful such glitches didn't happen to me.But then again, back then I was playing it at a 1-chapter-per-day pace. ^^

I didn't have a glitch issue at all. That could've really ruined the experience, especially if it happened at the very end of the game.
This sound really weird, well I finished the game on the Normal DS and not the 3DS....
Mmmh... and yes, I played more than 40 hours before the ending :3... So it might be the console or the game's fabrication itself.
