  1. It is a public challenge: every person that has law degree can partecipate to this competition which is under the sorvelliance of the government. So it is a VERY HARD test to pass, in fact only the best lawyers are chosen to become judge.
  2. What do you mean by public competition?
  3. Yeah I don't want to do the attorney rule for that reason... but italian attorney is a good job, there are a lot of things for the defender that there aren't in other countries. Prosecutor is a better job, but is very very riskful here... and it's truly hard to pass the exam and the public competition : /
  4. Oh you aren't living here, I mixed yu with Jake somehow XD

You talk about this while I play Phoenix Wright XD The prosecutor's job is awful. But what about defense ? What if you get real criminals... I don't know ...I couldn't do such a job knowing my client is guilty =/
  5. Well I can't say how precisely is justice in Quebec, but the fact that is civil law place like the most of Europe nations (instead of common law) makes it a lot better than the rest of Northern America for me. I wish I could go there, I love ice hockey and Canada is truly a great place to visit with a lot of things to see. Maybe one day you'll do me a turist guide in your country XD

I really don't like the way of thinking criminal law as it is for common law places. Prosecutors there are voted from the people like the President, and they like to accuse poor people because they simple can't protect themselves during the trials: in this way they do public advertisement for themselves for the next election, because the more people they put in jail, the more protected the society feel. In the civil law the prosecutors are not voted, they're chosen from a public competition under the supervision of the government. So this big problem there isn't in our countries.
  6. >Yeah I'm from montreal. Our justice is....bad
  7. Never tried it, so I can't tell you anything about XD

Yup I'm studying law, but I don't want to become neither an attoney or a prosecutor... or that's what I think for the moment. I'm starting the third year, and the degree course is of five years so there's quite a lot to do before I can really decide what to do. And I think you have a wrong idea of what attorney or prosecutor does... are you french or canadian? If you're canadian, are you from Quebec? If that's the case, maybe you can understand better what is their work. Quebec is a civil law region, whereas USA and the remaining zone of Canada are common law. The way of thinking "law" is COMPLETELY different, especially in criminal law. : P
  8. How is gungnir?

You are studying law? To become a lawyer or prosecutor?
  9. I wasn't attracted by Gungnir but this game is very good, you should try it someday! Well I'm playing it slow because I'm playing also Dark Cloud and Diablo III a little, and I need to study for my exams... european law is so boring : P
  10. Well...Never really been attracted by this title and gungnir too.

Gotta go back to work soon..lots of dishes to wash...LOTS
