Everybody has games on their radar whether they be new or old.
What are some games you guys are bound to pick up at one point or another?

Heres some I'm looking into. The ones with a * are a must get.
Theres probably more that I just can't think of right now.

I feel like my "this-is-already-out-and-I-want-to-try-it-eventually" list is neverending, but the games I know I'll be buying in the next 4 months are:

Skyrim (already preordered)
Assassin's Creed: Revelations (already preordered)
Final Fantasy XIII-2 (will probably preorder when I pick up Skyrim)
Professor Layton and the Last Specter (probably at Christmas)

Don't hesitate! Get it! It's one of my favourite games on the PS3, and it's only $15 ($10? can't remember). The only downside is the visuals (which sometimes get hazy, but only sometimes), which is decent anyways. If you like open world action RPGs, you'll really like this. It has great music and boss battles too.

NieR is pretty awesome. You should really consider getting yet. Its story is very good and music is awesome too. Gameplay is good and graphics are average, but that's not what counts.
I did not regret buying it.

They didn't go bankrupt per-say, but AQ Interactive was losing a lot of money as a whole if I'm not mistaken. Fortunately nothing has happened to XSEED, but they aren't quite in the same position as Cavia, FeelPlus, and whoever else developed under AQI.

And I have no idea if their developers are gone or are still contracted out. I know AQI isn't make any more games of their own though. But even that might have changed due to the whole Marvelous merger.

Yeah, looks like they are "Marvelous AQL Inc." The L apparently comes from another company called "Liveware" that I've never heard of before that was also involved in the merger. Since XSEED fall in there too, one of them might know more about it.

No news on it being released in the USA, but back when they released the demo, they said the only reason why they weren't planning to bring it to the west was because the PSP is basically considered dead by most companies and they couldn't get a PSN version of it to work. Now that they got a PSN version to work, though, they have no excuse for why they would keep it from coming to the west.

Just a warning about the two Generation of Chaos games, they run terribly on the PSP. The slowdown in the battles is just mind numbing due to having 60 units on screen at one time, and it makes the battles drag much longer than they should considering battles almost always have predetermined results based simply on what units are in your party.

I do not recommend getting these two, but of course ultimately it's your call.

Good choice with Crimson Gem Saga though. The art is great, the battles are tons of fun thanks to an emphasized use on skills and team-up attacks, plus the game is genuinely challenging.

Those Legend of Heroes games are pretty fun. Especially Tear of Vermillion (which happens to be my favorite during that trilogy).
However, keep in mind that Namco Bandai localized it on a different order. That way, Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch is actually the first game, followed by A Tear of Vermillion and Song of the Ocean.

When is Type-0 being released, and any chance of it coming to the US?

I've seen an interview where Tetsuya Nomura said that after Type-O is released it will be Versus turn. I'm hoping we'll see it early 2012 but with square you never know. I mean Versus was announced alongside XIII and after that I didn't hear anything about until recently. I'll see if I can find the article.

No news on it being released in the USA, but back when they released the demo, they said the only reason why they weren't planning to bring it to the west was because the PSP is basically considered dead by most companies and they couldn't get a PSN version of it to work. Now that they got a PSN version to work, though, they have no excuse for why they would keep it from coming to the west.

Oh, that's why? I see. Well, they really have no excuse now, so they better bring it over! I really want that game.

I had my fun with my PS2 when it was still working. Played a Suikoden game which number I can't remember and Radiata Stories. They're new mostly because well the only game information I get is from this forum since I'm a bit lazy in checking things out myself until they tell me the title. Yeah, thats really really good for a Harvest Moon game. It was #2 in sales in between Tales of Heroes and Narutimate Storm Generations. Haha, Naruto sold around 20k less than Harvest Moon did. And Tales only sold about 4k or so more, which is pretty bad for a new Tales game actually, especially when you consider most Tales games make the bulk of their lifetime sales in the first week or so.
