So Dusty gets on the internets today WHAT!? Checks the usually websites WHAT!? Twitter WHAT!? Amazon What!? Gamefaqs WHAT!? I find out the game comes out 11-8 WHAT!? November the eighth WHAT!? November WHAT!? After September WHAT!? After October WHAT!? November

As you can image, i'm a little upset WHAT!? I'm disappointed WHAT!? And thats all i got to say about that

There's a reason we're waiting so long to release it, and I think you'll be pleased with the results.

Suffice it to say, it's going to be an awesome release. Hopefully. As long as NOTHING ELSE GOES WRONG along the way. *grumble* *grumble*

This is all wild speculation, but here's my opinion both ways, although I do agree with what WoottWinds said.

Sucks:
not getting the game sooner
possible problems
getting buried under the mainstream of the mainstream

Rocks:
getting away from the competition of the other niche companies
more time to prepare for the release
possible marketing toward the stereotypical wii crowd (one time last year I saw someone of that crowd looking exclusively for fishing games. Don't ask.)

And, well, it hasn't really been pushed back. We've never announced any release date for Fishing Resort, so the dates Amazon and anyone else had were merely speculation on their part. :P

I am disappoint.

But I'm so glad that a game with so much heart, beauty, and joy is making it across sea! I just hope that Amazon.com will ship it to Canada >_>

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, especially since it's your first post, but amazon.com doesn't ship games cross border. :(

Yeah, I know it sucks. We get to miss out on all of the game sales they have because of that. Heaven forbid amazon.ca pull their heads out of their asses and offer the same or similar sales in unison.

To be off topic: I ordered a few things from Amazon.com. It either it depends on the item or what state they ship the item most likely the latter. All items I was able to order shipped from Illinois.

Edit: I checked with fishing resort and I was unable to preorder it since they wouldn't ship to my address, I checked other games and I was able to preorder Square-Enix games. Fishing Resort will eventually appear on amazon.ca or gamestop.ca, amazon.ca listing is iffy at times, I had to email them about a video's release date they have it set to ship next month but it's already on sale in the states they emailed me back that they had the wrong release date and will ship my copy in about 5-7 business days.

Wait a sec, so Amazon.com says the fishing rod bundle will be released December 31, but the game only still says it's shipping on the 8th of November. Is this a mistake/delay (of change) on Amazon's part? Or will the fishing rod peripheral bundle ship considerably later than the game alone? If so, will we be able to acquire the accessory separately?

I believe that release date is, once again, a guess on Amazon's part -- most likely due to the fact that we said we'd release the game in 2011, so Amazon decided to play it safe and pick the latest possible release date that would fit that criteria. (: We still don't quite know the exact date ourselves, as mastering and production have proven to be something of a comedy of errors... but we'll definitely let you guys know when WE know.

Dumb question, is the rod adjustable? In all the pics and videos I've seen with it people reel in with their left......i'm right handed

The dominant and thus stronger hand is holding the reel and rod. Particularly the rod, where more strength is required to fight the fish. Ergo the left hand is free to reel the reel. Additionally the nunchuck is normally held in the left hand anyway, and ... yeah.

So the fishing rod bundle does not ship to Canada/myaddress from Amazon.com. Am I S.O.L. in getting the reel attachment in Canada? (bundle or not)

The mastering process is going a bit rough for this one. We'll announce it as soon as the game is officially approved and in production, which will hopefully be soon. Until then, sorry we can't be more specific!

Even though a month may be a long period (?) I'm quite happy now since I bought a cheap Wii -almost- specially for this one.

It's looking promising, actually! After a month of constant unexpected obstacles, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

...Still no exact date, but things should start falling into place very soon.

I was hoping that this would come out before my birthday (it would be an AWESOME gift X3 ), but, I intend to get it either way... I might just have to wait, what with Zelda and a new Gorillaz album coming out in late November.

But, somehow, this game won me over, so as I said, I will be getting it. X3 Will be my first fishing game, actually. I wonder what to expect...

Why do i want this game so much? Reminds me of the fishing in zelda and it was cool there and this looks cool (talks like a little kid)

Point is awsome game.

My parents seeing me play a game like this would most likely yell at me and tell me to do some real fishing. sigh.. D:
