Do you know if the PS2 Internet can be used. I have a slim and a fat PS2 with both Outbreak 1 and 2. I have AT&T Extreme High Speed Internet 6.0, which is the 6.0M/768K package, but I'm not sure if I can play it without signing up for anything. I usually just play single-player because of it, but I haven't touched either of them in awhile and probably won't after my birthday on the 5th of next month. I am getting a few new games then and later on pre-order. I might play it if I can get used to it again before then and my internet will suffice for on-line play on the PS2. I have the Ethernet adapter for the fat PS2, if needed..

Can you even play this online anymore? I thought Capcom shut the servers down that were required for online play. Or can you do private games even with the servers shut down? I wanted this game a while back but when I hear the server shut down I didn't bother buying it and I would have to find a ps2 online adapter.

You can play online on the PS2 Slim just fine, i tried it with Champions of Norrath once, but i have no idea about the Capcom servers, i'll have to dig some info on that.

I just checked and the servers were shutdown. However, there is a rumor that the outbreak games will be released on PSN, but there has been no news on that for awhile.

IIRC, didn't the Monster Hunter and Outbreak servers go down because owned by a group outside of Capcom or something?

Capcom owned them, even if they were hosted elsewhere. That would be called a VPS. This means they own them, but are hosted in a datacenter, other than their own.

Thats gonna suck then, but either ways, i'll still play it ^_^

After that, i think i'm only missing Outbreak Files #2 and Dead Aim...oh and the new 3DS RE games which i obviously won't be getting for a little while since i lack a 3DS :p

It's too bad they shut down the servers, I've got both and would be totally down to play! :(

Yeah, i wonder if anyone's figured a way to play the game online yet? don't know if it's even possible, but would be nice.
