Hello all, its a pleasure to meet you. I go by KusanagiShiro on here, but y'all can just call me Shiro.

As it says on both my profile page (and in the post title ^^;), I have been playing video games for 25 years...since I was barely old enough to walk pretty much! (lol moment) I pretty much grew up with a gaming controller in my hand (though my mom never let me get an NES of my own...had to travel 1000 miles up to Seattle and my cousins' to play it. X.x)

I've seen more than a quarter century of gaming history go by, from 1986 on up to this very day. I got my start in the era that us old-schoolers call the "Second Age of Video Gaming".

For all of you who don't know what I'm talking about, that is everything that happened after the gaming industry crashed to a halt in 1983, during the heyday of the Atari 2600. I witnessed the meteoric rise of Mario from minor gaming protagonist to household name. I was smack dab in the middle of Console War II (That's the Nintendo VS. SEGA battle in the days of the SNES & Genesis). For the last 25 years, just think of any console released in America; you name it, I've played it.

Thanks to the rise of the interwebs, I've managed to establish a foothold in some major gaming fan communities out there. I compiled a small list of four sites I think all of you might find interesting to look into. Both XSEED employees and fans alike will enjoy this. ^^ (Forgive me if giving out these links goes against forum policy. As I see it, all of us gamers gotta stick together.)

SHIRO'S LINKS:

LUNAR-Net (http://www.lunar-net.com/):
If you played SSH, you probably know this site already. Its probably the foremost LUNAR fansite on the entire 'net! You can find me there under username "Zhane Masaki".

PSO-World (http://www.pso-world.com/):
Ahh, PSO World. What can I say? Its a close-knit and well-known Phantasy Star site that has been around since the days of PSO! I go there by the same name I go here: "KusanagiShiro". They have an IRC chat room, too...just poke around on their forums and you can probably find it

Sonic Retro (http://www.sonicretro.org/):
Sonic Retro is quite an amazing site. It happens to be one of the biggest Sonic fansites out there, second only to SEGA itself as a source of English-speaking info on the series. Their in-site wiki has some amazing information on the series that a lot of you may not have ever known existed! (They also have a sister site called SEGA Retro that is still a work in progress, but if my prediction is right, could become a major repository of info on ALL things SEGA.) Worth checking out; again, I go on there by "KusanagiShiro".

VGMdb (http://www.vgmdb.net/):
Its not so much a fan community for a single game serires. Rather, VGMdb is a community of video game music fans, who gather there to share their love of VGM (that's shorthand for video game music). It also happens to have the single largest database of video game music information on the Internet (they were featured in the UK's Edge magazine a while back, that's how renowned they are nowadays).

If you like the music from your favorite video games and want to know who wrote what, chances are they will have info on that. If not, just keep coming back and it'll be added eventually! Over 28,000 individual entries and going strong! Find me there under "Zhane Masaki".

I hope to make a lot of friends here, and if you wanna talk, just drop me a line!

Hullo Shiro. Welcome to the XSEED forums! We're gathering a nice crowd of gamers here, and hurray for more old-timers like us who remember the Atari! My heyday was more in the early '90s, but my uncle had an Atari and I played it every time we went to visit. :) Anyway, thanks for joining us and good call on Lunar-net. Talked with Mickey a bit back when we were putting out Lunar: SSH. Great guy and great site.
