I just found this in the comments section on Kotaku, someone's claiming it's a list of upcoming Vita games...

If it's true then this would be totally awesome, but I'm gonna stay pessimistic until it's confirmed.

That list is full of lies and high expectations.

Really, what sounds so preposterous about it? The reason I bothered posting it is because I thought it all actually sounded incredibly reasonable and well thought-out.

Guessing fake, but I'd like for it to be real. Got Origin for free during the Groupon promotion so this isn't my first pick for Ys games to get released (remake of 4 or 5, or a new game would have been even more awesome) but I'd still buy this if XSEED released it here.
The list of games is fairly reasonable, I just don't see how somebody would get a document that lists third party games straight up like this.

Just for curiosity's sake I darkened the picture to see the game list on the "next page" that is partially visible. Reading inbetween titles on the page above, I can pick out...
SEGA
Phantasy Star Victory
Virtua Tennis 4
SQUARE ENIX
Elevator Action Deluxe
FINAL FANTASY [TBA]
Final Fantasy XI VITA Edition
TAKE 2
XCOM ???
TECMO/KOEI
Dynasty Warriors [TBA]
THQ
Saints Row [TBA]
Whether it's real or not, there are some damn good game titles on this thing. I remember Square saying something about FFXI being a Vita possibility, Elevator Action Deluxe is interesting seeing how that's been recently in the news, and all the Konami game ports make sense when thinking about their recent "Transfaring" talk between the PS3 versions.

The WHOLE list might be the indicative that it's full of lies. Only one page can't reflect the credibility of that list.

Hmmm, interesting.
Any idea where this was supposed to have come from WW?

One thing I didn't think of before was the fact that this entire list is in English. If Sony did have a typed and printed list of third party games like this, it most likely wouldn't be in full English. Several of those games probably aren't ever going to get releases outside Japan, like Heracles, Gundam, and Little Busters. Why would those be on a SCEA/SCEE document like this? And if it's an SCEJ document, why is it in full English?
Not saying this entirely proves it false, but it raises questions.
Edit: And thanks for posting it, it's interesting regardless.

Indeed, it's interesting. I've been discussing that list over NISA Forums for a couple of weeks and it's really interesting.

English lists are often printed up like this for investors. English-speaking investors are still damn interested in releases in Japan and how well they do. (You can see lists like this pop up in E3 conferences and the like at times.)
And why do you think this list is fake, Shizuka? If anything, a ton of those games have already been announced. I see nothing unbelievable about this list, especially given the PSP's strength in Japan.
As for Origin: wouldn't surprise me. The PSP really can't do Origin justice, and I would expect to see Falcom finally release it to the Vita to get the entire "Napishtim-generation" Ys game set on a platform other than the PC.

This list is very interesting. The Castlevania thing looks interesting. I wonder what it is. All the games? Some games? If even half the games on this list turn out to be true it would be awesome.

I'm sorry if I sound lazy (probably because I am), but I went over and over about how that list is fake to me on NISA Forums, and everyone there pretty much got to an agreement about the veracity of that list.

Honestly no idea. I was checking the comments for a Metal Gear post on Kotaku and someone had this "leaked" list posted talking about what was on it. I thought it looked legitimately interesting, and with Ys Origin as a listed game I figured I'd put it here for discussion.

That was one of my first thoughts too, and SpaceDrake's explanation/reasoning above is actually a damn solid one I hadn't really considered.

That one came off to me as pretty much the only really peculiar one. Well, that and the Heracles Anthology which I don't believe has ever had any games from the series released outside of a Nintendo console. I could totally see Konami doing something along the lines of the Dracula X Chronicles again, but calling it the "Complete" Chronicles (even if it is a placeholder *assuming this is valid*) is an odd choice.

Yeah, I mean, I really do hope this is real, 'cause I would if Origin was ported to Vita that means XSEED could possibly localize it, and one can never have too much Ys.
Besides, Origin is the only main Ys game that I have yet to play aside from V.

Glory of Heracles Anthology? I'd pay good money for that.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glory_of_Heracles_%28series%29
After Data East's bankruptcy in 2003, Nintendo and Paon acquired the rights to the series, and release the latest installment in the series, Heracles no Eikō: Tamashii no Shōmei for the Nintendo DS in 2008.
Oh... :(

Woott: I'll have my eye on the Falcom website. If they announce an Origin port to Vita, I'll hear about it.
As for Phantasy Star Victory, I admit it IS highly possible; the Phantasy Star ZERO artbook I own had producer Satoshi Sakai saying he had considered that title for PS0 when it was in production.
Though, if anyone would know whether those rumblings turn out to be true, it will be the fan community over at PSO World (http://www.pso-world.com/). I'm registered over there under KusanagiShiro, and I frequent the IRC chat, so I'll ask around and see if RubyEclipse (a forum member who has strong ties in Segac...AKA Sega of America) knows anything about a Vita game is in the works. Just leave anything Phantasy Star to me, everyone.
