Random Questions About SC...

Since I have curiosity that must be fulfilled, here's a thread to ask non-spoilery questions to the people who have actually played the second game already.

Anyways, first up: Where does Enormous Fight (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua70gw6mZfM&fmt=18) play in the game? I figure it's either a standard boss theme or the penultimate last boss theme, but I need confirmation. D:

I just read the Xseed interview over at Wired (sorry, I`m on a DSi and forget the url, it`s on the frontpage there), and in it, Jessica says SC can`t be put on PSN as a downloadable title. How come? I`m guessing file size restrictions, but who knows with Sony ;)

Pretty much that. It's a two UMD game, and apparently you have to swap discs pretty frequently. Not sure if it's specifically the filesize or something else, but hopefully the issue will get worked out with the release of FF Type-0 (the only other multi-UMD game).

The options seem to be a UMD only release (which will be tough since Vita will already be out and PSP games will have no shelf space at all), getting Falcom to use the compression algorithm from ZnK to get the game down to one UMD so it could be released on PSN (not sure how much effort this would require), or releasing it on Vita (PSP game on a Vita cartridge, no enhancements).

There's also the PC version, but I don't think XSEED is committed to the PC games. Even if they were, they've already started the series on PSP so switching to PC exclusively is probably not a good idea at this point, assuming it's even an option (would probably be messy with the contracts for translators). And Falcom could decide to make PS3 Remaster versions, but that would run into the same issues as the PC versions.

But anyway, yeah... Quite the conundrum. I'd love to see a UMD release, but, yeah... Can definitely see why that'd be a problem in the States. Oh well. I'll be buying it regardless, even if they release it for Vita and I don't have one right away (please don't make me buy the Vita right away Xseed, PLEASE!).

Couldn't remember exactly where it plays, so I loaded up various save files and fought some bosses.

It seems to play at some bosses...I know for certain the end boss of chapter 1. It doesn't seem to be the boss music for all end chapter bosses; the end boss of chapter 2 has different music (Looming Threat)...

I guess I'll have to finish the game before I can make any complete statements :/

I can't say for certain....I reached the point where I have to switch UMDs, and since I only have UMD 1, (long story; lost the second one when moving house) I can't reach that fight. :(

I put in an order for another copy, especially since Falcom released discounted versions, but I won't get it for a couple of months... the wait is killing me.

oh yeah you talk about the versions on they video on youtube isn't it ? for my part I plan to purchase the complete ( FC SC 3RD )version even if I've done only FC.
too bad to lose an umd it happened to me with ff8 and ff9 CD it's horrible o_0

Yep! Falcom seems to be publicizing the Legend of Heroes games even more now, with the whole budget rerelease and little youtube videos.

I convinced my cousin to lend me his PC copy, and I found a save file on some Japanese website, so I'll do some diligent playing and see if I can make it up to that boss....then I'll tell you exactly what track plays during that fight :)

Okay, Just confirmed it: Enormous Fight Plays during the fights with the dragon Regnart and the chapter 1 boss.

Now I'm having some well-earned sleep.

Sorry to post again,

Just played through the whole of SC. "Enormous Fight" plays during the last boss fights in chapter 1, chapter 5 and chapter 7, which are Blblanc's Stormbringer, Regnart the Dragon, and Renne's Patel-Matel giant robot respectively.

I think that answers the OP's question.
