As a big gushing Ys fan, there's one thing that I just can't seem to find. Ys clothing! As a man who is fully accepting of his utter dorkery, I really would love to find some shirts related to the series. Only problem is, I can't find anything. Anywhere. Any ideas?

Look here => http://xseedgames.com/forums/showthread.php?530-Anime-Expo-2011-T-Shirts! They are currently working on this. I also want one, I'm a gaming girl and proud :D

Maybe a pre-order goodies for Canada? Since I won't be able to get a hand on this any other way?

utter dorkery? sorry but what does that mean? I looked in a dictionnary and it isn't here

Well now, that'll learn me for not paying more attention.

"Dork" is another word for "nerd" or "geek" (or "otaku"), usually derogatory. "Dorkery" is a made-up word meaning "a person's level of being a dork."

...And if wearing Ys shirts is dorky, then dork me up! ;)

Thanks Wyrd! Now I understand >< I say gamer in my case, not dork, otaku, nerd or geek...okay maybe a little geek ;)

I usually go with "nerd," myself, but I'll accept any of them. ;)

The gamer label doesn't have quite the same stigma it used to have. While I haven't seen people gaming in some of the same scenarios as I, at least I don't get people scoffing at my gaming habit. Now anime, that's another story. Hahaha.

Anyway, I've already mentioned in the other thread that I would absolutely love to be able to wear some Ys gear. It's like free advertising but with us paying you for it! It's the best of both worlds!

Gamer was bad before?

Yeah free advertising for them :D ACtually I already made 3 people buy Ys seven, I'm quite proud of that :D

Gaming in general may not have the same stigma, but you still get the odd funny look when you start ranting and obsessing over the more obscure wings of gaming. Y'know, anything not Halo or Mario. Not that it matters, I stopped worrying about following the flock after high school.

It was when you're an adult. It was one of those things that people outgrew. I guess.

=> Sorry but...what?

I like to play games while exercising. I'm the only person I've seen doing this. I doubt I'm the only one, but it's kind of cool. :P

I think that's more of the exasperation of someone not familiar with the source material, though granted, I'd find it a bit odd to rant and rave about something that someone else isn't going to be familiar with.

=> Okay now I get it ^_^ True...It's rare I can talk about a video game I like, nobody has ever played it Y_Y Don't talk about Ys, nobody knows about that!

I call that DDR, or Zelda Twilight Princess, playing standing up and moving, usually it's with the Wii that I move, because there are no wire.

My boss caught me playing Ys at job :O He sneaked inside the place, never saw him coming. (we are permitted to READ, but adult have a LOT of problem with gaming) But this time he didn't say anything. I think he understand that it's boring to always read when there are no costumer. Beside I was hidden in the backstore XD The first time he saw me gaming, I was scolded, I tried to explain him that it's the same as reading, I can pause it anywhere anytime I want. As for the book, you need to finish your sentence ;)

I do it all the time. My fiance pretty much just smiles and nods when I start going on a tangent about obscure Japanese games. lol.

I dunno, that seems like the time you'd want to rant and rave MOST, to me... after all, if you don't rant and rave about games no one else knows, then how will anyone else EVER know about them? ;)

Sharing knowledge is never a bad thing.

They're also REALLY TINY, so if you're going to buy any Falcom t-shirts, beware: Japanese large is pretty much American small. (:

I really want that Evil Ring.

... I just don't want the price tag that comes with it! I doubt it's even made of real Cleria.

Unless it's made of Silver. I always forget what the deal with Silver and Cleria is. :U

lol, yeah

To anyone wanting some of the T-shirts (I got the Ys vs SnK one some time ago), I highly recommend the LL size (and I'm 128 lbs at 5' 8" :U) .

Just a warning about http://www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/catalog/tmars.html

As Falcom themselves only stock them for a VERY limited time, your main source would be to get them direct from MARS16. HOWEVER, last I checked, they DO NOT ship overseas.

Your best bet is to commission a proxy to purchase the shirt(s) on your behalf or, if you know someone that happens to live in or (will be) visiting Japan, you can have the store ship it/them to that person and then have it/them sent to you.

There also seems to be third party stores that carry their merchandise too so said friend could probably could hunt for them if they happen to be in the area. (Although I don't think there's any way of knowing what those stores actually have in stock without physically going there or calling to ask.)

The One Ring should have been the Evil Ring, but it does not come large enough to fit the Dark Lord's guantlet. :P
