First of hello, I'm from the UK!

I know the PSN has been down for the past 5-6 weeks but ever since Trails in the Sky was released in the US any details of the European PSN release has been thin at best, I'm a bit disapointed because you got the Y's games out so quickly.

Is there any ETA we can expect?

Thanks!

I would imagine "the instant the Playstation Store comes back up" is the answer. Sony has the data image and is basically sitting on it at this point.

I just checked PEGI website its rated 12, and should have been released last week! Grr, this PSN downtime makes me so angry and frustrated, who knows how long its been set back now!

Sony is releasing content in batches, with three updates a week, I believe. If it was meant to be out last week, then it should only be a week or two before it launches, since they were going to start with late-April releases and move towards current ones from there.

It's not JUST the PSN downtime that's been holding up the Trails Europe release, actually, and it MAY take a bit longer yet... but trust me, your patience will pay off. I can't go into any great detail, but suffice it to say that there's a very good reason for this delay. I'm sure that's not much comfort, and I'm sorry for the lengthy delay... but just know that we're doing what we can to expedite things and get the game released a.s.a.p.

We haven't forgotten you, Europe! I swear!

Any update yet?

I'm playing Y's 1&2 in the mean time, I'm impressed with it but I really want to get into Trails in the Sky!

I hate to come off as impatient Wyrdward but why is SCEE so difficult to master for, I'm assuming we're getting the US version as there can' be any PAL/NTSC issues on handhelds, it passed SCEA's QA process and its already rated on PEGI.

What can possibly delay a game for more than 3 months?

It's not a mastering issue this time.

Sorry for the long wait, but trust me, it'll be worth it. I wish I could tell you more, but I assure you, there's a very, very good reason for this delay.

Ok, I accept your reasons and I'm sorry if I came across as angry, I've been let down by much bigger publishers in the past over JRPG's, for instance Rogue Galaxy was released 8 months after the US release and that was Sony themselves. I know that localization can take time, I heard how long it took you to translate Trails in the Sky and with that amount of text and cultural meanings to translate its no surprise.

If it has anything to do with the possibility of a physical release as well as a digital one, I accept that as a business decision and wait, I'll enjoy Y's,I&II in the meantime!

Whew! Finally announced!

Ghostlight will be releasing a physical UMD copy of the game in Europe, complete with their own collector's edition. Now you see what the delay was all about! (:

Why cant XSEED to sell umds in europe?

Because we don't have a European presence. We're strictly an American company, so North America is the only region in which we're able to distribute packaged goods without crossing into complex legal (and financial) waters.

To distribute UMDs in Europe, we'd need a European partner -- which is what we have now for Trails in the Sky, with Ghostlight.
