that thingy ^
What is JKS?
I'm deep in thought about it and have some ideas:
jaguar klingon soup
jive killing sauce
japanese king song

I feel like my curiosity is killing me. :(

It doesn't stand for "jive killing sauce" but it should. :o

The letters actually represent the first letters of some of the founding employees.

J = Jun (the President), Jimmy (Product Manager)
K = Ken (Angry Sales Monkey), Kenji (Localization Manager), Kenzo (former Finance)
S = Sean (former Marketing guy)

Later additions: I can be added to the "J," Shiho (Accounting) can be "S," but Tom and Christine lack logo representation at the moment. :P However, that's not as cool an answer as your guesses, so let's just pretend it's a mystery. ^_-

I was thinking "Jury-Killing Suspect". Who's guilty now?!

Awesome explanation, though. And Yes, Jive Killing Sauce beat the bacon out of what I came up with.

When I first saw JKS, I thought it read like JerKS.
What an unfortunate choice of letters for a company focusing on marketing.

But XSEED people aren't JerKS. Far from it, they're nice people. :D

Just wanted to add that it wasn't really our first choice to add our initials to the end, but our lawyer told us that "XSEED is too broad, you have to narrow it down somehow by, like, adding a second name to it" or else he couldn't trademark it. Took us a while to come up with the addition to our name that our lawyer wanted, but finally someone remembered that Dreamworks full official name was "Dreamworks SKG" where the SKG were the initials of Spielberg, Katzenberg, and Geffin, so we figured anything good enough for those studs was good enough for us too.

I always thought it was "JoKeS", because it's crazy that you guys publish some of the games you do.
