Ahem. How long does time have to pass until I can say the final boss of Felghana's name in it's full lolzy glory? Granted, the second-to-last boss is more of a spoiler than the BIG BAD, but even so!

It's very clunky referring to him by his placement in game, and after a certain point in the game do you expect to fight him. Thing is, it's a spoiler because you go into the game thinking certain other people are your villains. The plot twists make calling the final boss by name slightly spoilerish, although there's worse that can be done.

It's like how everyone at least knows you fight Dark Fact at the end of Ys I, but I'd never fully divulge the name of the final boss of Ys II. Heck, I won't even call his top mooks by name. I simply would call them "Boobs" and "Dementor", and hope people that have played the game understand who I'm talking about. Although, "Dementor" was definitely more important.

And, heck! In a way, doesn't playing Ys 7 first mess up Ys VI in regards to Geis and his character development? I mean, I must admit, I thought it was awesome that Geis appeared to already finished his character arc, but at the same time, I felt a little spoilered about his role in Ys VI.

What do you consider spoilers? Have you been spoiled already and want to rant about it here? And how long do you think it should be until the spoilers become less fresh, and it's more acceptable to talk about them?

Let's discuss! Or else... YOU SHALL BE LIKE ASH- never mind. I think you get my point.

The problem is that everyone has a different definition of a spoiler, I'd think.

Like, for Ys SEVEN, you KNOW that Geis is in the game since he's on the cover, but what role does he play? When does he appear? Is he a playable character? Blah blee bleh?

Some of the answers to those questions may be considered spoilage for some. Others might just shrug or simply don't give a flying BACON. (I LOVE manually inserting BACON in place of gratuitous cuss words~! XD)

Basically, you can't please everyone! When in doubt, just slap on the spoiler warnings. ^.^~~ (Why this forum has no spoiler tag is beyond me.)

In Ys, I would say that bosses, plot twists (like the revelation of the REAL enemy), and end game information regarding plot are typically the main kind of spoilers you'll encounter. But I think that's pretty much the same as in any game? ^^;

True that, about Geis. Hey, I even went into Ys 7 hoping that Scias was playable. And then, it turned out that he wasn't. Nooooo! ;_;

Oh man, I had hoped Scias was playable too. Then... yeah.

At least he wasn't nearly as fleshy as a certain other pre-final boss fight. I was all geared up for an epic mage battle, and then... Spoot! That's done with! IT'S TIME TO GO FIGHT BIG UGLY, NOW. The final boss of Ys 7 can only really described as "Big Ugly". Seriously, it was the Big Ugly to end all "Big Uglies".

......Y'see, my best friend has this habit of calling endgame bosses "Big Ugly", which is where I got that nickname from. I think this is one of the few times that the last boss was BIG (good grief, THREE battle stages?!) and pretty darn UGLY. Wouldn't you agree?

I had no idea the name of Felghana's final boss was considered a spoiler at all, actually. I mean, I grew up with that name, thanks to Ys III -- a lot of people did. I figured it was just as well-known as Dark Fact, or Zeromus, or Kefka. (:

regarding to "similars" character in the previous ys like chester I knew that scias wouldn't be playable but I never thought that this girl who always is worried for the princess come in the team , in ys 6 even until the end I hoped olha came with us with his arc and geis !
and for brightsuzaku the only final boss in ys serie that isn't is ugly is surely the ark of ... herself

@Wyrdwad meaning I'm free to call him LOLbalan all I want?

Then again, until I learned what kinda guy he really was, I thought I would get to kick McGuire into a pulp. Now, after the fact, I simply think it would have been amusing if I could have done that.

Hard to disagree with that!
