Just like with Demon's Souls, the Asian version of Ragnarok Odyssey offers multiple languages including English. Games like these are all about combat and leveling up so I guess there wasn't a lot of text that required translation.

When I played the JP Demo I realized quickly that it isn't a story centric game, just dungeon crawling, questing, leveling, gearing up, collecting items, and grouping. So I'd imagine all the translating is really in the vendors and quest text.
So it's no surprise, and only can mean we in the US get it quicker! ^_^

No, the Asian version does not include english subtitles now. There'll be another Asian version in the future, however, that'll include english subtitles. For that, I already created a topic about it:

From what I found, the Asian version was delayed to August, the month online retailers are pegging for Ragnarok Odyssey's release as well.

ikr I thought that was pretty funny. it just means that you might as well wait for XSEED lol. (I was gonna wait anyway)

I'm waiting for XSEED even if it takes them until next year, but my body certainly wouldn't last that long due to overload excitement.

I don't think it's going to take them a year, lol. From what I understand, and from the other posters are saying, it's not a particularly text-heavy game (which is why it's been so import-friendly). I think the predicted August 22nd date sounds about on par.

I used to think that, but after I saw that they're still somewhat translating and editing the game, and how long it usually takes from that point until it's a final product, it wouldn't be unsafe to say it might be released in October/November, although October will be quite the crowded month for the PS Vita, I'd rather let it be released in September or November.

I'm really banking on an August release, since I'll be having a two-hour bus ride to and from school every day come September.
However, I wouldn't be surprised either if it got push back a couple of months. Xseed does have a lot of projects going on, and I think their biggest focuses right now are The Last Story and Orgarhythm. Even if it does see an October/November release, I can just throw it on my Xmas list and save myself some money. :D

October will be so AMAZING for the PS Vita with Zero's Last Reward, Persona 4 Golden, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz, Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Assassins Creed 3: Liberation, Need for Speed...

If it was priced and compared to Dead Nation, it'd be good.

The last Silent Hill game I actually liked was Silent Hill 4 The Room. The rest started to go downhill like the one where you play as a ex soldier and he has auto aim on all enemies which ruin the fun. If you guys really like horror games you should all play Penumbra trilogy or the Amnesia game.

The gameplay in the Silent Hill game looks like its not gonna be scary because its "topdown" view, which is never scary. NEVER scary.

I've heard some good things recently about Silent Hill Book of Shadows. Jeremy Parish from 1up said that he was very surprised by how good it seems. It has randomly generated levels, and some roguelike features as well. It seems just weird enough to be fun. Although, probably not at all scary.

It won't scare you, but it might be fun.

Fun probably but scary most likely not at least for me. Resident evil doesn't even scare anymore like it did in the good old days of the PSX and those where very difficult on the basis that it didn't have the easy aiming because of the camera position that they have in the new ones.

Fatal Frame is the only game that can still scare me to this date.

That game was scary but like I said in an earlier post the indie games of Penumbra and Amnesia are so freaking scary I can't play those with the lights off. You should all check them out but uh we kinda derailed the thread so we might want to set it back up to what it was before.

Back to the topic, people that were going to get the asian version because they didn't want to wait any longer might as well wait now that the release for the asian version has been delayed.
