Some people may not realize that last year was the 30th Anniversary of Falcom. So Falcom made a commemorative video of the Ys series.

This second video, I am not sure if Falcom made it but shows gameplay of all the Ys games including DOY and MOTS, not the PS2 ports.

SPOILERS ARE IN THE SECOND VIDEO WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Enjoy. :)

I'm not sure that was called for.
And actually, it isn't Ys' 30th yet; that won't be for some years yet. (Ys 1 first came out in 1987). What it is is the 30th anniversary of Nihon Falcom's entry into the game business; last year was their overall 30th, but it was 30 years ago that they released their first game for the Apple II. They moved over to the PC-88 soon after.
Still a neat video :3

Ys 25th this year? Lots of gaming 25th's going around lately. Hard to believe there are only 7~ main entries in a series this long run. No doubt its been for the best though!

At least eight, counting Ys Origin. Then there are the two different Ys IVs, and Oath in Felghana, which is different enough from Ys III that I think it counts as a separate entry. As such, I usually like to say there are 10 main Ys entries, not counting spin-offs and third party remakes.
But that's kind of nitpicky. ;) Heheheh...

Is Falcom doing anything for the Ys 25th anniversary? I know there is a new game this year (which is great), but is there anything else?
I know their 30th anniversary game is a Kiseki game, which makes sense.

Dont think so, they have been quiet with their phyre engine project, but it seems Ys related.

One of the things that I would like to see for the Ys 25th anniversary is a remake of Ys V

A modern Ys V would be awesome. Especially since that game seems to be the weakest in the series by far, gameplay-wise (but strong elsewhere). I wonder if they would go back to solo Adol with that, or Ys 8.

Yes, would like to see that and please let it on Vita, Falcom xD
Preferably with difficulty higher than both V and V Expert.
