It looks like they had to reinstall some parts of the software. Fortunately, it's pretty easy to reclaim the old avatars, assuming you don't upload and delete or something.

Probably quite a bit of faith has been lost, but we'll rebuild. Again, apologies for the trouble this has caused (especially in the spam email department). We don't exactly have a tech team over here (just myself and our poor marketing girl who kind of stared at the screen and poked it with our fingers a few times hoping for results), so things are slow to be fixed. It was an unfortunate thing to happen to a bunch of Luddites like ourselves. Hopefully we can avoid another such infestation in the future.

And, we actually blew all of our funding on a night out at Chuckie Cheese months ago, so this is free labor right here. ;)

The frustration is understandable. We're really sorry that you guys had to see the, uh, supplement stuff much less have your emails spammed. I'm really happy we've had even a few trickle back to our bacon shores, so thanks. I hope this place will steadily climb back up to its usual procrastination heights. As for the SC funds, I think he was joking. :)

Because they are WAY too small to have a tech team. The whole forum is run by XSEED themselves (yes, in the middle of translating giant text-based games and whatnot), and not some random tech people hired to take care of it. So you can see why it took a while to come back up?

This depends on how people get to your main page.

From google: It all goes to a pharmacy website.

From my bookmark: it goes to your main page properly, but, when I click on the forums link. It also goes to the pharmacy website. Typing in the url for the forums takes me to the proper forums.

There seems to be a bit of dns jacking going on here.

^ Do you have anything like AVG installed? Instead of directing me to a site, it gets blocked and pops up saying that it was "pharmacy-Canada".
It's been happening off and on for me still :/ In fact, it happened when I clicked on this link :p It's pretty random when it happens though. So stupid though... NO ONE buys products through spam!!

Have you guys tried clearing your cache? Because in all honestly, this isn't happening for any of us at XSEED, and our web designer is really stumped -- she's found no evidence of any DNS redirects or malware anywhere on the entirety of xseedgames.com, and since none of us can reproduce this issue, we can't confirm its source.

We're aware of the issue when accessing the site through Google, of course, and have a request in with Google to de-list and re-list us -- but if you go directly to xseedgames.com, you really shouldn't be experiencing these issues at all, and I find it quite disturbing that they're still happening.

If possible, please do try clearing your cache, and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't... then we'll have to keep digging, I guess, until we can isolate the exact cause of it.

Works fine here and no warning messages. As you said, google still lists old posts and threads that got deleted and redirects them to the pharm site.

Add-on: I just did multiple tracerouts on www.xseedgames.com domain and no redirects. It has to be cache or a false positive from AVG.

Thankyou knight. Just clearing temporary internet files seems to have worked for me. Clearing cookies is sort of not an option at the moment, but will do if it happens again, since it was a pain to remember passwords for over 10-20 website that I go to. Forgot to mention I do have AVG but only warns me when the browser actually goes to a spam site.

Did you delete the cache for the browser you are using? In addition, go to control panel then internet options and delete temp internet files and cookies.




@pringles: Tom stated their tech person cant find anything on their side and I can confirm that by getting no interference when doing a trace-route on their site. I am positive it's something client-side.

I finally tried using the link in the address bar and got here, and thought that I would mention my issue, though it appears that it has already been mentioned. Well, might as well say.

When trying to get to the site from google, it directs me to that Pharmacy page. Looks like I am not alone. Anyone know why this is? :/ Either way, at least I am able to get back on the site. :3

EDIT: Oh, and, this does not really belong here, so I apologize for that, but I honestly have no idea where to ask this, and I do not want to annoy one of the nice XSEED people by PMing them: How do I access Profile Customization? If nothing else, I would like to at least get rid of the Gray/Red Scheme in my profile. Make it look purty if I can. :3 Thank you.
