I'm quite sure I'm not the only one here : do you have games that you bought, but are now unsure to play for whatever the reason?
*Another game came in?
*It is not as good as you tought it was?
*Lost interest over time?
What are the games that you are now unsure to play at all?
Oh god, like 50% of my non-PS2 games.

Ditto that, LOL. Though if it weren't for my OCD for achievements/trophies, it'd probably be a lot less than that. :P
The backlog ends up getting bigger, then it gets so big that you don't know where to continue anymore.

I think the most recent time this has happened to me was with Alice: Madness Returns.
I loved the concept, the art style, and the gameplay in general, but it really lacked polish and failed to hold my attention. I know I'll go back and finish it someday based on its merits, but I just wasn't feeling it the last time I tried to play through it.

I've got some of them myself.
I have a bunch of Phantasy Star game, but now that's I've play to one...at least try,, I'm not that interested.
Xenosaga, I bought it when it was overrated and I didn't have much knowledge in video games (they were in my frist 40)
Astonishia story (do I realy need to tell you?)
Star Fox Adventures & Spyro hero's tail : horrible controls!

most compile heart/idea factory games and a few atelier games just because of the time management thingy.oh and the star ocean games, specially 'till the end of time.oddly enough, i kind of liked the last rebellion even though its graphics were pretty poor

L.A. Noire, i just can't play it for longer than one case..every time I've tried, I start thinking "hey this is great, sort of like Phoenix wright! Except..not as interesting, or fun..and the music is putting me to sleep..."
Ten minutes later I completely sidetrack myself, and decide to replay a phoenix Wright game instead. :(
I should sell it.

All the time.
I have so many games (a lot on PSP) that I've just played for like 10 minutes and then something came along and stopped me from playing.
Honestly, most of the time I actually like the game, I just get distracted and never feel like going back.

Another game came in.
I bought Atelier Totori with Hyperdimension Neptunia, but I started HDN first. Yet I really want to play Totori too, but I can't stop halfway.

Most of the time it's lost of interest or horrible controls. The only ''another game came in'' was when I stopped Suikoden V for Skies of Arcadia :P

I stopped playing Atelier Totori for GRiMgRiMoiRe and Odin Sphere. Now I'll never get to know the endings I missed because I'm uninterested. I still won't look at videos though, hoping I'll eventually return for that Platinum Trophy I've been saying I was going to get. (Which has been a long time now since I've been saying that)
Sonic the Hedgehog 06 anyone? :v
I will never touch it again.

Shoooooot, I don't know if your choice was bad or not... GrimGrimoire and Odin Sphere are awesome.

I've made a list of the games I don't think I'll ever play anymore
Astonishia Story

soulcalibur legends
God hand

Man of Action
12-21-2011, 10:39 PM
Yes to never playing star fox adventures again. Glad I got it free.
Some games I just can't seem to get back to playing:
Front mission 3 (longest PS1 game I've ever played)
Skies of Arcadia Legends (gamecube broke)
Infamous (no motivation)
Advance wars: Days of Ruin (Lost it... again... not willing to go through 20+ mission just to see the ending)
Toro to Mori Mori (Platinum... too... hard...)
Dead Nation (Boring)
And a bunch of free PS + games that aren't worth mentioning.

Skeis of Arcadia O-o it's better on dreamcast, but buying another GC for 20$ would be my top priority XD
Aren't worth mentionning, they must be pretty bad...

>.o Boo. I have so many of these. Notably, I've put Shadow of the Colossus on hold for like, a year, same goes for Skies of Arcadia, Radiant Historia.....Most of my RPGs are like this because I just never find time to finish them! ;-;

12-22-2011, 02:21 AM
And the three titles you mentionned are incredibely good ones... I'll tell you. Shadow of the colossus is a BIIIIIIIIIG 8 hour games. It'S about 30 minutes per colossus. So...real short game, I suggest you get back to work :P
As for Skies of Arcadia, it's a pretty long title...

Not gonna bother listing Steam and iOS games. Needless to say, looking at this list and thinking about the money wasted depresses me. I'm NOT gonna make the same mistake with the Vita and 3DS. It'll be buy one game, finish it, and THEN buy another game.

I was referring to Totori's endings btw.
GrimGrimoire and Odin Sphere are indeed awesome.
Sonic the Hedgehog 06 wasn't. It was like, trying to run straight only to have Sonic fly side ways into a wall and die. Or have Silver run on a wall only to fall down and fail 80% of the time.

Front mission 3 (longest PS1 game I've ever played)
.
The rerelease on PSP got me through a 20 hour journey without getting halfway through XD (if you include both story paths.) I find it quite fun to set up the mechs, and the combat has a satisfying, heavy feel to it, even if the strategy is usually quite basic...

I know. ;-; That's why I'm so ashamed. xD Some of the best titles in my collection go unplayed for quite some time. I've also yet to finish Eternal Darkness [on the subject of GC games] for example, despite how excellent it is.
xD I think that's my problem with Skies. I haven't had the time/motivation to make the commitment it deserves, lol.

All of my PS3 games are like this. I don't know why; it's not like Valkyria Chronicles, Darksiders, and 3D Dot Game Heroes are bad games.

A chunk of my DS games are going to be stuck at the final boss forever, or at least until I finally replace my old Lite (the hinge is cracked, which makes the top screen floppy, which makes grinding kind of uncomfortable).

As of the moment, the game that's currently on my back burner is Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2: Innocent Sin [PSP]. Don't be mistaken, it is one of my favorite games of all time. But during that time, I was writing a walkthrough for Gabrielle's Ghostly Groove 3D [3DS] and then after I finished my walkthrough -- Dead Rising 2: Off the Record [360], Giana Sisters DS [DS], and Corpse Party [PSP] came out.
I eventually put off Persona 2: Innocent Sin in the end, it fell victim due to the fact that "another game came in". However I will get back to playing it, but just not this moment. To anyone curious, I have already beaten it 12 years ago when it was first released in Japan, so that's why I'm not in too much of a hurry to beat it.

Infinite Space. I'm stuck and I don't think I want to play it again after forgetting to save at a crucial moment and having to start all over again. I might try it again just not in the near future.
