XL rod and reel

Hello everyone. I have been playing this game everyday non stop since I bought it a few days ago and I have already been to every location possible. Haven't caught all the fish yet.

I have been trying to catch the big rare fish in certain places to no avail. I use the 2 star xl rod and reel and cant seem to catch em no matter what I do. I slow play them, I try and steady reel them without going into red, I pump reel (which almost worked). I was wondering if there is a 3 star XL rod and reel in the game or am I stuck trying to do my best with the 2 star stuff?

Also I have tried using the 3 star large gear and that didn't do the job either.

Even if you don't tell me how to get the 3 star xl stuff just let me know if its in the game or not so im not wasting my time trying to uncover it.

Yeah, I am wondering the same thing. I am having a heck of a time reeling in an electric eel. I have hooked 3 or 4 of them but have failed every time to reel it in, no matter how careful I am being.

Is the Berserker / Elephant combo the best in the game for XL?

There are definitely bigger rods, so don't worry. Aside from the the X-100 Berserker (A rod of incredible strength, able to hold together even
during struggles with fish that are bigger than the fisher.) there's the X-999 Titan (The X series' ultimate weapon. The heaviest rod of them all,
theoretically capable of snatching legends up from the deep.), the TM-1000 Marine Buster (for trolling) and the HF-1800 Storm Killer (Fixes the throw distance issues from the HF-1400, and then some. Boasts impeccable elasticity and control.) is really good too. :)

There are definitely bigger rod combos, though yours seems like it'd be sufficient... Maybe the X-999 Titan? I'll have to check and see which one is the optimal combo. Let me confer with the experts and I'll get back to you guys. ^_^

You can get there by getting the license at Dua Ribu Lake (on the little island in the middle) for 20,000 points! You have to catch a lot of different fish, too. ^_^

Thank you so much, oh merciful mod. Can't believe I didn't check there, now that I think of it I actually was headed that way once and got distracted by a bunch of buffalos in the middle of the lake. Curse my short attention span! Thanks again, and whoever at xseed is responsible for this game coming here, thank you x a million. Last time I was this addicted to a game was probably dreamcast-era.

Yea. I know about the 2 star xl rods. Im talking about the xl rods for float fishing. Not the trolling ones. I have 5 of those already. I just need to know about the xl rod and reel thats 3 stars for lure fishing and float fishing.

You need to finish every NPC quest in the game in order to unlock the X-999 Titan rod and X-009 Infinity reel (which are apparently just given to you as a reward rather than bought), and you need to buy the cruise ship at Teman Paradise Beach before the TM-1000 Marine Buster is made available for sale in the shop. ^_^

Also, the Stormkiller fishing rod and Elephant reel might be the best chance to land the eel (I think).

H.Pro: the Stormkiller / Elephant combo worked great, caught my first Electric Eel last night! Thanks for the advice! I just got the Cruiser last night as well... this is one of the coolest games ever.
