Are there any plans for an Australian / New Zealand release of LoLS?

Thanks

I'm afraid not. We only have a physical presence in the United States, and as such, we consistently encounter our fair of share trouble just trying to get games stocked in Canada and added to PSN in Europe. Once we've been able to streamline the process of releasing games in the regions with which we already have some familiarity, we might then seek to expand to other regions -- but for now, we only have the resources for North America and Europe.

Sorry!

I'd like to note that Brazil has gotten its own PSN Store this year, and its success has been outstanding. With not many games on it so far, each and every release has been a hit for the publishers involved. The content isn't in portuguese, and companies are getting a lot of money just because it's been licensed and sold here.

You made an account, Shizuka?

I have a brazilian PSN account, yes.

And do you buy stuff there?

We have been looking into this as well, actually, and maybe sometime in the future we can take advantage of it. Brazil is definitely an untapped market, and one we'd love to get into.

I have to say, though, I only know a few people in Brazil who like RPGs, at least people who don't know English.
Most people only care about shooter and sports games, since you need no superior knowledge to play those.

That's the frustrating part, because of the way SCE is setup, Australia and New Zealand come under the SCEE banner.
So, Xseed doesn't get any of my money for this, Legend of Heros or the Ys's :(

(And I understand it's not your fault)

That sounds great. Maybe I'd say you should start with Lunar and Corpse Party, one established franchise many may know and another an exquisite experience for those seeking a good time with their PSP.

How good are RPGs selling on the brazilian PSN, Shizuka?

I think the only ones available right now are the PSOne Final Fantasy from Squeenix.

Hm, that's mainstream everyone knows about. Anyway, I actually think releasing RPGs in Brazil is not a good idea, at least not now.

Just stressing the importance of the brazilian market, XSEED's latest announcement already made news in Brazil:

Tom, I'd say that XSEED should be aware and try to release your games at least digitally, starting with the PS Vita games.

Oh, SumiOni is a good choice, since it's more of an adventure game. But honestly, how many people are buying Vitas over here? :I

Well, if people are paying R$2500 for the same iPhone model as last years, you bet that the PS Vita will sell regardless of the price tag.

It's not really fair to compare it to the iPhone, being a phone and all.

I don't have that much experience in discussion but always tries to give out my best. Perhaps someone else who stops by this article can add their experience in discussion here.

Yep, agree with this advice. This sounds to me like something that should be advertised on the back cover of a comic book. If you're not getting a good feeling about the boss, it's time to leave.
