Rune Factory Oceans?

Since Xseed brought over Rune Factory Frontier, but Natsume brought over all the handled ones, will Xseed continue to bring over the console versions or will Natsume bring it over?

I'd be willing to put money on them bringing Oceans over, to be honest. From what I understand, Frontier did not do too badly for itself.

If they do bring it over, I'm curious if they're gonna have it for both the ps3 and the wii, since it's for both over in Japan. If they do I'm gonna have to make a choice on which system I want it on. >.>

I think it might be more reasonable to bring only one of the two versions over. As far as I know, the only main difference between the two are the control styles and the PS3 version having superior graphics (Which is obvious). The question then is which one to bring over.

True. I kind of hope it is the ps3 version though, just because I really don't like playing with the wii remote and classic controller (it needs to be cordless!)

I was thinking more along the lines of bringing over just the Wii version due to ease and it being more widely accessible (Since more people have a Wii than a PS3), but the PS3 version is also welcome. From what I've heard though, it's difficult to program a game for the PS3. Since XSEED and Natsume are fairly small companies, I imagine it might cost a lot to for them to bring over a PS3 game.

I, too, really hope they bring Oceans over. Frontier was such a blast to play and stands as one of my favorite Rune Factory games. The PS3 version would be awesome, but to be honest, the Wii version doesn't really look all that bad. If the only way we could get Oceans was if the Wii version were released, then I'd be more than happy with it.

I concur! <3333 Mostly because I loved RFF a lot compared to the DS games. : P

I would like it if XSEED took this also, but this should go in the suggestions section, rather than the Rune Factory Frontier section. Also, it should be that difficult to bring both over, it would mostly depend on what they project the sales to be. If both consoles are selling the game well in japan, they could easily bring both over. XSEED or Natsume wouldn't have to go through the major scripting part for the PS3 version if they brought that, since most of the more advanced scripting that the users at the beginning of this topic were talking about is with the actually programming of the game. Just changing the text is about the same on any other console. Any help needed would always be possible to come from the developers, which wrote all the code in the first place. It is much easier to publish a game into another language than it is to develop it.

If the game was localized with both versions, I would get both versions. The reason being that I already have both consoles and me and my sister would both like to play it. If it is released on both and I get both, then we wouldn't have to take turns or anything like that, since we only have one Wii and one PS3.

Xseed gets the job done, as far as I'm concerned. I really hope they go ahead with RF: Oceans so I can have a really good excuse to support them some more.

I'd rather XSEED handle this than Natsume but I'm all for the release in either case. I'd just as soon have both versions be localized but if only one has to make it here, I much prefer my PS3 to my Wii. Darn you, carpal tunnel! :P
